Fenton Glass Vases

A Legacy of Beauty and Style

Fenton glass vases are presented by the house of Fenton Art Glass Company, a company based in West Virginia which has been producing those masterpieces since 1905. Established by two brothers Frank L. Fenton and John W. Fenton, the facility was initially a glass decorating company. In the footsteps of Tiffany and Stueben, the premier brands of that era, Fenton produced Iridill which was an iridescent. Today it is a vintage item among collectibles and is referred to as “Carnival” glass. (more...)

 

Jacques Grüber

Jacques Gruber, plastic artist, painter and French glass, born 25 January 1870 to Sundhausen (Germany) - died the 15 December 1936 in Paris.

This is an award from the city of Nancy that allowed him to take courses of Gustave Moreau in Paris.

He returned to Nancy in 1893 where it teaches at the school of the fine arts to make vases decorations for Daum, furniture for Majorelle and books for René blankets Wierner. It mounts his own workshop in 1897 and specializes in quickly glass and stained glass.

He was, in 1901, one of the founders of the school Nancy.

He is interested in all techniques of Arts décoratifs of focus on the stained glass around 1900. In 1901 he part of the Steering Committee of the Nancy school. In 1914, he moved to Paris.

It will participate in the decoration of the liner "the Ile de France", for which he was responsible for transatlantic lighting. (Music: Mozart - Adagio & Rondo for glass harmonica, W.A) (flute, oboe, violin & cello)
